What is executive coaching

Coaching is the best tool for executive training today, consisting of a process pursuing the maximum professional and personal development of the coachee as a priority objective.

A key difference between Coaching and Training is:

Coaching is an intense process (in dedication and results), but extensive in duration (it may last 6, 8, 10 months, even if you only have 1 session of 2 hours every 3 weeks over that period). The greatest effort lies on the coachee (person who receives coaching) who has to complete a very deep personal introspection and/or professional work. The role of the coach is not to direct, but to assist in this process. (The process of accompaniment is very professional and this can only be done through certified coaches and with extensive experience in order to obtain beneficial and healthy results for the coachee and productive results for the Organisation).

    .

Training is a process condensed into 1, 2 or 3 days (8, 16, 24 hours…), but once the trainer goes away, if the student does not continue deepening the work, there is no more track time. For this reason, the result of what one remembers after having done a course (however wonderful it may be) is only 20% of what s/he has received. In training, the trainer performs the largest effort, since students often have a more passive role.
